The Cavs continued their winning ways Wednesday night with a win over Grassfield High School on the road.
The Lakeland High School boys’ basketball team is continuing to show no signs of slowing down. They got their first win of 2019 under their belt with a road win over Grassfield 82-73. It was obvious that the Cavs were carrying momentum over from last weekend, when they won the King’s Fork High School Holiday Classic.
Raymond Bellamy led the team in scoring with 22 points, followed by Clint Wright Jr. with 20.
The win brings Lakeland’s record to 9-1. They will have to turn right back around and face a tough Nansemond River High School team for round two after the teams collided in the championship game last weekend at King’s Fork.
