Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Raymond Bellamy, junior, Lakeland High School basketball: Bellamy had 21 points and five assists in the Cavaliers’ third win of the season.

Laura Cornette, sophomore, Suffolk Christian Academy basketball: Cornette had 13 points in the Lady Knights’ first win of the season over Summit Christian Academy.

Jaden Freeman, sophomore, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy basketball: Freeman scored 24 points in the Saints’ three-point win over First Colonial High School.

Keontae Boyette, senior, King’s Fork High School basketball: Boyette had 18 points in the Bulldogs’ road win over Hickory High School.
