Tasty, crafty bazaar on Saturday

Magnolia United Methodist Church will hold its third annual country bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday with food and fun for the whole family.
Breakfast will be served, along with a lunch menu that includes homemade soup, chili and sandwiches. Visitors will enjoy the country store with ham sold by the pound, large wheels of sharp cheddar cheese and freshly-made barbecue.
The craft shop will have Christmas decorations like wreaths and home comforts like aprons, dish towels, lap blankets and afghans. There will be plenty of cake in the bake shop, plus pies and cookies and other delicious confections.
Children can spend their time in the activity room while their parents look around or check out the kids’ shopping area, where nothing is more than $2 a piece, according to bazaar co-founder and co-organizer Judi Delpiero.
“It’s just for the kids, that way while momma is shopping, they can be in there and not have to see everything that momma buys,” Delpiero said.
She said the bazaar is a hit every year thanks to good food, tasteful crafts and the wonderfully inviting congregation of Magnolia UMC.
“There’s so much love at Magnolia. We just love everybody,” she said. “We just have our arms open, wrap you up and make you family.”
Magnolia UMC is located at 1764 Wilroy Road. Call the church office at 538-8552 for more information.
