Suffolk Restaurant Week kicks off on Saturday for another year of the city’s signature flavors from both nationally award-winning restaurants and locally kept favorites.

From Saturday to Nov. 10, a dozen different restaurants in Suffolk will offer specially-created delicacies in simple, three-course selections with fixed prices on their menus, according to the press release.

“Deluxe” selections will be $10 for lunch or $20 for dinner, “premier” courses will be $15 for lunch or $30 for dinner and the “ultimate” dining experience will be $20 for lunch or $40 for dinner. Two of the restaurants will also offer a breakfast option for the weeklong culinary showcase.

No coupons, vouchers or tickets are required. Simply order from the Suffolk Restaurant Week menu at one of the participating locations.

“It’s a good deal for everybody,” tourism development specialist Katie Kelley said. “You get a lot of food for really good prices. You can’t really beat that.”

Among the participating restaurants are Al Forno Pizzeria on Holland Road, Holland’s Country Gourmet on Commerce Street, Mason’s Grill and Smokehouse on Burnetts Way, The Plaid Turnip on North Main Street, River Stone Chophouse on Harbour View Boulevard, Sushi Aka on West Washington Street, Vintage Tavern on Governors Pointe Drive and the Suffolk BBQ Co. locations on North Main Street and at the Suffolk Executive Airport.

There are also three recent additions to Suffolk that will be featured this year, including the Mexican dishes of El Korita Restaurante at the intersection of Franklin and East Washington streets, the seafood and craft beer found at Decoys on Bennett’s Creek, and the artisanal coffee and other treats at Pourfavor, Suffolk’s newest coffee shop that’s based in the back of the World Class Realty office on North Main Street.

“Restaurant Week is a really good time for people to come and check out what’s available,” Kelley said.
