Carolyn Yvonne Powell, 63, of Spencer Court, Suffolk, transitioned Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, at her residence. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at New First Baptist Church. The Rev. Lennis Taylor will officiate and the Rev. Steven Cheeks will deliver the message of comfort. She will be laid to rest in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
