Grand jury indicts 48

A Suffolk man was indicted on more than 40 charges during the Sept. 24 meeting of the Suffolk grand jury.
Raquan Malike Holmes, 20, was indicted on multiple counts of using a firearm in a felony, attempted malicious wounding and other charges.
According to court records, another man told police that Holmes threatened him via Facebook Messenger on April 2. That man was then shot at on April 7 on White Marsh Road, and he identified Holmes as the shooter, according to the court documents.
In all, the victim said he was shot at on three separate occasions. The vehicle had bullet holes in it, and a bullet was recovered from the vehicle, the court documents state.
In all, the Suffolk grand jury handed down indictments against 48 defendants on 144 charges in September. The full grand jury report is below.
