Five car accident closes South Quay Road

A five-vehicle accident has closed all eastbound lanes in the 7100 block of South Quay Road in the rural Holland area.
Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire and Rescue responded to the accident after dispatch was advised of the incident at 6:04 a.m.
The accident involved four passenger vehicles and a tractor trailer, and two persons were ground transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The Public Works crew also responded to the accident to assist in setting up a detour down Brentwood Road while the tow service helped to move vehicles.
Suffolk Police are currently still on the scene, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The city anticipates the roadway to reopen within the next half hour.
