Lady Bulldogs grab first win

The King’s Fork High School volleyball team picked up their first win of the season Thursday night. The Lady Bulldogs took down rival Lakeland High School at home to get their first win.

It came down to five sets, but the Lady Bulldogs were able to get it done.

Jordan Fransee had 13 kills and two aces for King’s Fork. Courtney Lonergan had nine kills and two aces. Jolie Bufono had eight assists and two kills. Zanaya Brown added nine aces and two digs.

“I think the girls are getting it and putting it together,” Coach Nikka Gatling said. “I was very excited for them. I think this gives them the boost they need for their confidence to let them know we can achieve when they play together.”
