Man sentenced for fatal crash

A Suffolk man will serve four years in prison for causing a fatal accident last year.
Camren Lamar Artis, 19, was sentenced on Thursday to 10 years with six suspended and five years of supervised probation on the involuntary manslaughter charge. His license was also suspended. He will also pay a $250 fine for texting while driving.
The three-vehicle crash happened about 7:49 p.m. April 3, 2017, in the 6400 block of Godwin Boulevard. Duke Fletcher Doyle, 57, of Suffolk, died in the crash.
A charge of reckless driving was not prosecuted.
