Dane Gerald Winningham

Dane Gerald Winningham passed away on June 18, 2018. He is predeceased by his parents, Ira and Lillian Winningham; son, Bobby Dane Winningham; as well as his grandson, Shane.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Doris Ann Winningham; children, Tammy W. Forte (Ricky), Barry Winningham (Pamela), Marvin Winningham (Squeaky), all of Waterford, Mich., Jerry DeWayne Winningham (Mary), of Courtland, Melissa Eure (Louis), of Suffolk, and David Allen Winningham (Kimberly), of Turrell, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Regina Swan; sisters, Doreen Bell and Betty Marie Rogers; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dane had a big heart and was a great father as well as a God-loving man. He loved to aggravate and joke with everyone. Dane retired from the U.S. Department of Interior Fish and Wildlife Service at the Great Dismal Swamp after 30 years of service. He was also a trained Federal Police Officer through the department.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday June 22, 2018, at CrossPointe Church, 2460 Pruden Blvd., Suffolk, VA 23434, with Pastor David Sexton officiating.
