Puzey’s walk-off secures NSA win

Emerson Puzey had a walk-off single to help the Lady Saints win a 4-3 matchup.
The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy softball team hosted Norfolk Christian School and came away with a 4-3 win, even though it came down to the wire on Senior Day.
Norfolk Christian jumped out to a 3-0 lead over NSA after two innings of play. They maintained their 3-0 lead until NSA finally got on the board in fifth inning, where they scored two runs.
Puzey pitched for NSA and got the win. Her walk-off single brought home Addy Greene for the win. Madi Wilson went 3-4 with a run, three RBIs, a home run and a stolen base. Puzey went 2-4 with a RBI and a double.
NSA will face Greenbrier Christian Academy at home at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. In this week’s Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II poll, NSA remained at No. 1. Greenbrier Christian Academy came in at No. 2.
