Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

• Gage Williams, senior, Nansemond River High School baseball: Williams earned a pitching win against Oceanside High School and also hit a grand slam for the Warriors in the same game.
• Taajh Waters, sophomore, King’s Fork High School baseball: Waters hit a home run against Indian River in the Bulldogs’ win over Indian River High School.
• Eli Dowd, senior, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy lacrosse: Dowd scored seven goals in the Saints’ win over Steward School.
