Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

• Indiah Hunter, senior, Nansemond River High School soccer: Hunter scored five goals in a win against Norview High School.
• Penelope Franklin, junior, Suffolk Christian Academy softball: Franklin went 3-3 with two runs and two RBIs in a 17-2 win against Cape Henry and also struck out four batters.
• Ashley Bido, senior, King’s Fork High School soccer: Bido hit the go ahead goal to give the Lady Bulldogs the win over Tabb High School.
