Pilot Travel Center opens

Pilot Flying J recently opened a Pilot Travel Center in Suffolk. The travel center features full amenities for area residents and the traveling public, while adding about 110 local jobs and other economic benefits to the community.
“We’re thrilled to serve the Suffolk community and contribute to the local economy with our new travel center,” said Ken Parent, president of Pilot Flying J. “Both Suffolk residents and those traveling through the Suffolk area will soon be able to enjoy the convenience and amenities of this Pilot Travel Center.”
The new facility at 2400 Holland Road is Pilot Flying J’s 19th company-operated location in Virginia, and it is expected to contribute $2.2 million annually in state and local tax revenues.
The center includes amenities such as:
- 10 gasoline fueling positions and six diesel lanes with high-speed pumps for quicker refueling
- PJ Fresh, fast-casual food offerings, including hand-stretched PJ Fresh Pizza, soup, sandwiches, salads, home-style hot food, and additional fresh cold food offerings
- Pilot’s Best Gourmet Coffees, including bean-to-cup selections
- Dunkin Donuts with drive-through
- Western Union
- Driver’s lounge
- CAT scale
- Everyday products for quick shopping needs
- Customers can download the myPilot app to receive a 3-cent gas or auto diesel discount.
