Collins named to dean’s list

Hannah Collins, of Suffolk, has been named to the fall 2017 dean’s list at the University of South Carolina Upstate.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, freshman students must earn a 3.25 or higher and be enrolled in at least 12 course hours and upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 or higher and be enrolled in at least 12 course hours.

 

Carr named to president’s list

Catalina Velez Carr, of Suffolk, has been named to the president’s list at Clemson University for the fall 2017 semester.

Carr is majoring in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management.

To be named to the president’s list, a student must achieve a 4.0 grade-point average.

 

Philson awarded degree from UA

Jason JeVante’ Philson, of Suffolk, recently graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in education. UA awarded about 2,077 degrees during winter commencement on Dec. 16.
