Therapeutic spring break camp set

Don’t miss out for all the adventure and fun during the Suffolk Office on Youth’s Therapeutic Spring Break Camp, Camp SPRING FORWARD.

Campers will have the opportunity to participate in arts and crafts, group games, outdoor activities, field trips, creative exploration and more. This program is designed for children and adolescents with special needs and abilities and requires advance registration and assessment. The cost is $45 per child, and space is limited. Participants who require one-on-one assistance are welcome with their parent or guardian or personal aide at no additional cost.

Camp Spring Forward will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 2-6 The camp will meet at King’s Fork Recreation Center, 350 Kings Fork Road.

Therapeutic recreation provides inclusive recreational opportunities and goal oriented treatment for individuals with special needs and abilities so they may overcome barriers, learn, adapt and grow.
