Tigers too much for Warriors

Nansemond River High School boys’ basketball team dropped a tough game to Oscar Smith High School.
The Tigers proved to be too much once again for the Warriors. Nansemond River went on the road Friday night to face one of the top teams in the district. The Warriors fell 80-52.
The only lead the Warriors had during the game was 7-6 early in the first quarter. From there, Oscar Smith regained the lead and continued to build on that lead throughout the game. However, the Warriors did outscore Oscar Smith 20-16 in the final quarter. The Warriors were coming off of a tough overtime battle with rival King’s Fork High School.
Josh Hale had the high for the Warriors with 12 to go along with four assists and two steals.
Nansemond River will not play again until this Friday when they take on Indian River.
