Chorey & Associates Realty recently collected dozens of new toys to assist the Toys for Tots program.

The collection effort started with just one box for toys, owner Billy Chorey Sr. said. Before the end of the first week, they had to call and order three more.

“We have had many anonymous donors walk through the front doors, depositing new toys in the bins, including bicycles, dolls, stuffed animals, and much, much more,” Chorey said. “We used social media to invite other local businesses to join our efforts, and many have jumped in and donated boxes of toys and children’s gifts.”

Chorey said the staff at Chorey & Associates delivered the toys to the Salvation Army and will volunteer at the toy store to help distribute the toys to parents.

“We’ve been in the real estate business here in Suffolk for over 40 years,” Chorey said. “We have been blessed beyond measure, and it’s our desire to continue to play a small part in this community, which has given us its trust for so long, by giving back to its children.”
