Aaliyah Jackson, 10, Suffolk
(Painting downtown Suffolk windows) is my favorite memory so far. I get to have fun with my art teacher and get to paint with my best friend, Jaden. We get to go around and paint different windows and show people what we can do.
Bryce Williams, 24, Suffolk
I guess just my growth. I graduated from Norfolk State University and enrolled in a master’s program at University of Phoenix for psychology. So just growth and success, but not one thing in particular.
Caleb Tillery, 14, Suffolk
Graduating from seventh grade. It was a difficult year, with a lot of difficult tests to go through, like SOLs and benchmarks. But I passed every test, all of it, and no summer school. I grew up, and it felt great.
Tonya Deaton, 44, Suffolk
One of my favorite memories this year is my dad’s cancer being a thing of the past. He’s cancer-free right now, and he never slowed down. He still does the garden, the yardwork, and keeps blessing us with food.
