Shannon Evans II has gotten off to a hot start for Arizona State University.
Through six games this season, ASU has yet to have a loss, and Evans has been a big contributor to that. Evans, a former Nansemond River High School standout, is averaging 20 points per game and about five assists.
Evans scored 50 points in an exhibition before the season officially started, and it is looking like he has been building on that. His coach, Bobby Hurley, recently described he and a teammate’s play as “ridiculous.” Hurley told the Arizona media he believes ASU is playing an exciting style of basketball right now, as it is showcasing Evans’ talent.
ASU is currently ranked No. 20 in the country in the Men’s College Basketball Associated Press Poll.
