Police investigate shooting

Suffolk police are investigating a shooting that took place Wednesday afternoon.
An adult male victim arrived at a local hospital for medical treatment for a gunshot wound not considered life-threatening, according to a city press release.
The victim told police he had been shot by an unknown subject about 4:38 p.m. while walking on Ashley Avenue in the South Saratoga area.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages, and no further information is being released, the press release stated.
