To the editor:

Education is our most valuable investment for the future and our greatest weapon against poverty. But in the last four years, Virginia has fallen 10 spots, from 4th to 14th, in the Education Week Ranking.

Ed Gillespie will work hard to personalize learning for every child in Virginia. His plan gives greater freedom to teachers to work with parents and greater autonomy for teachers to make decisions in the best interests of their students.

Together they can respond to the unique needs of individual children, coupled with bringing innovation, driven by technology, into the classroom.

Through Ed Gillespie’s plan of personalized learning, families and schools would have the tools they need to help every child reach their full potential.
