To the editor:

After careful consideration and a unanimous vote by the Executive Board, along with the support of the membership of Suffolk Professional Fire Fighters Local 2801, I am writing to announce our endorsement of Susan Draper for re-election to the position of Commissioner of Revenue for the city of Suffolk.

The Executive Board feels here qualifications and experience are exceptional for the position. With 15 years of employment in the commissioner’s office, the position she now holds as commissioner of the revenue allows her to relate and speak the language needed to articulate the needs of our community.

Furthermore, Susan Draper’s support for members of Local 2801 and fire department employees has not gone unnoticed. We appreciate her involvement in programs within the Commissioner of the Revenue’s office that assist our citizens and employees alike.

We wish her the best of luck in her campaign for re-election, and we look forward to working with her in the future.
