In this week’s Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Field Hockey poll, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy is ranked No. 4.

After a 7-0 loss to Norfolk Academy Tuesday on the road, it put the Lady Saints record at 7-2. The loss won’t hurt NSA too much, as they are regarded among the top five teams in Division II.

Norfolk Academy is widely considered among the best teams in the state, and they sit at No. 1 in the VISAA Division I poll. Under first-year head coach Shelby Bourn, NSA has been ranked in each of the three field hockey polls that have come out so far this season.

NSA played Walsingham Academy at home Thursday.
