Suffolk police are investigating Tuesday afternoon’s fatal crash as a hit-and-run and have identified the suspect vehicle, according to a city news release.

The crash in the 1400 block of Holland Road claimed the life of Hope Tara Parham, 46, of Suffolk. The crash was reported at 3:21 p.m., and Parham as pronounced dead at the scene.

“Suffolk Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in the initial stages of the investigation,” the release stated. “Charges are pending the conclusion of the investigation.”

No additional information was available, as it is still an ongoing investigation.

Police were asking any witnesses to the accident or residents or business owners who have surveillance video of the Holland Road area in the vicinity of the crash, or anyone else who had information about the wreck, to call 925-2030.
