The Suffolk-Nansemond Historical Society’s annual sale will take place this weekend, and there will be something for everyone to find.
“We have three full rooms of stuff,” Executive Director Kimberly Blair said. “It’s just a conglomerate of different types of items.”
The sale used to be called an heirloom sale, but it has expanded this year into antiques, vintage, glassware, china, linens, artwork, lamps, holiday items, memorabilia, knick-knacks and more.
“It is definitely a mixed group,” said Hazel White, a historical society volunteer.
The sale also includes a number of dolls. Some collectible Madame Alexander dolls, including Germany and Sweden dolls, will be priced at only $5.
Everything has been donated by members of the community.
“This is an important fundraising event for the society,” Blair said. “We have more items this year than ever before, and there is something for everyone.”
The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Phillips-Dawson House, 137 Bank St.
