More retail offerings are coming soon to Suffolk through the Centerbrooke Village development.
Construction of the two buildings in front of Hampton Inn and Dollar Tree off Godwin Boulevard began in August 2016. One of the buildings is about 10,000 square feet and the other about 23,000 square feet.
Troy Parker of Parker Burnell Real Estate, the same firm responsible for the Main Street Shoppes on North Main Street and the two retail centers under construction on Harbour View Boulevard, said only “minor work” is left for the buildings.
“We’re about to deliver the space to the first four tenants in the next two weeks,” Parker said on Thursday.
According to Parker, Verizon, Saunders Real Estate, Jenness Uniform Center and an optometry office have signed leases for space in the new buildings. They will combine for about 6,000 square footage of the available space and are expected to open within the next 60 days.
Another 15,000 square feet is under lease negotiation or at the letter of intent stage, Parker said. Those are expected to be finalized within the next 60 days, as well.
