Moore part of preseason No.1

The James Madison University football team has been named the preseason No. 1 in the NCAA FCS.
With the JMU Dukes winning the NCAA FCS National Championship, they come back this year as the preseason favorite. That bodes well for Suffolk standouts KeShaun Moore and Ryan Kluck. Kluck was a part of the National Championship team last year, and Moore will be an incoming freshman.
Moore could be a part of another special season for JMU. When he chose to commit to JMU during the summer of last year, Moore didn’t know how successful they were going to be. He had good things to say about JMU when he officially put ink to his National Letter of Intent.
“I’m glad I’m going into a successful program,” Moore. “I’m excited to see if we can make another trip to the National Championship.”
This marks the second time in program history JMU will enter the season as the nation’s No. 1 team, joining the 2005 season, in which the Dukes were also coming off a national championship from the previous year.
Moore will have a chance to earn some time at linebacker for JMU. Most likely, Moore will also be on special team duties. Nonetheless, it is possible another Suffolk native can be a part of a major championship in 2017 as in 2016.
Moore and JMU are currently in camp and will officially begin another championship journey on Sept. 2 against East Carolina University.
