The 1400 block of Holland Road was expected to remain closed at least part of this week after a tractor-trailer struck the train trestle on Friday morning.
Norfolk-Southern responded to the scene after the accident last week to check on the safety of the trestle. The Suffolk Department of Public Works has been notified that the required repair work is expected to be completed this week, according to a city press release.
The accident was reported at 11:58 a.m. Friday. There were no injuries.
A detour is set up along Lake Cohoon Road for westbound traffic and along Turlington Road for eastbound traffic.
