Registration is now open for the 2017 Suffolk Teen Summit, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 26 at the Suffolk Center for the Cultural Arts.

This year’s theme is “#WINNING.” This free dynamic conference will engage youth ages 11 to 17, along with parents and adults that work with youth, in interactive sessions on topics such as health and wellness, self-esteem and the importance of goal setting.

An after-party will be held immediately following the event at Constant’s Wharf Park & Marina. There will be food, games, entertainment, school supply giveaways and vendors. You must be registered for the Teen Summit in order to participate in the after-party.

The Suffolk Teen Summit serves as an expansion of a variety of prevention activities and programs developed as a part of the Suffolk Initiative on Youth Crime Prevention Plan. Register by Aug. 8 in order to receive a free event T-shirt.
