Police search for fraud suspects

Suffolk police are asking for help identifying three people they say are suspected of defrauding people of money through an ATM scam.
The scam involves convincing members of the public to provide their debit cards and PIN numbers in exchange for the promise of free money, according to Suffolk spokeswoman Diana Klink. The suspects then deposit fraudulent checks into the bank account before making withdrawals.
The first suspect is a black male with brown hair and brown eyes, along with a full beard. He is thought to be 30 to 35 years old.
The second suspect is a black male with brown hair and brown eyes and a sparse beard. He is thought to be 18 to 25 years old.
The third suspect is 18 to 25 years old and has hazel eyes and blonde-tipped dreadlocks.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Line at 1-888-Lock-U-Up. Callers do not have to give their names or appear in court. Tips also can be submitted by visiting www.suffolkva.us/crimelinetips, by texting the word “CRIMES” (274637) with the keyword SPDVATIP or through the TipSoft mobile app. If information leads to an arrest, the tipster could qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.
