The Suffolk Office on Youth will launch its first therapeutic summer camp, Camp Limitless, for children and adolescents with special needs and abilities this year.
Camp Limitless is an innovative summer program for children and adolescents with special needs that allow campers to flourish in a structured environment while feeling comfortable and secure. From this foundation, campers are encouraged to embrace and learn new skills and have new experiences they can build upon outside of camp, whether in school, at home, or in their everyday life.
The camp will be filled with arts and crafts, group games, outdoor activities, trips and more.
Camp Limitless will take place Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The camp will commence June 26 and will continue until Wednesday, July 26. The camp will take place at the Planters Club, 4600 Planters Club Road.
The registration fee is $35 per week, per camper, and requires advance registration and assessment. Participants who require one-on-one assistance are welcome with their parent, guardian or own personal aide at no additional cost.
