Warriors best Cavs

The Nansemond River High School baseball team defeated Lakeland High School on the road Tuesday afternoon.

The Warriors picked up a 4-0 victory. It was the first game for the Warriors since they took their trip to South Carolina for spring break. The Cavs notched their first win of the season last week but were no match for the Warriors.

Gage Williams pitched five innings and had seven strikeouts in a pitching win for the Warriors. He also led the Warriors with two runs.

Nansemond River will go on the road to face Gloucester High School at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Lakeland will face Wilson High School on the road at 5:30 p.m. April 27.
