Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s baseball team fell to 1-1 on the season after a 4-1 loss Tuesday evening against Greenbrier Christian.

“They pitched two very good college signees,” NSA coach David Mitchell said. “It kept our bats quiet.”

By Mitchell’s standards, it was a good high school baseball game. This year, NSA’s baseball schedule is very tough. They are playing teams with loaded college talent.

Next, NSA will play Highland High School at 11 a.m. March 11 at home. Highland High School is another school loaded with college talent. Mitchell said it’s all in the progress the team makes in each game. He believes that if NSA does enough to keep them in games, they will stay in close games and even win them.
