Don Curtis Timmons

Minister Don Curtis Timmons, 44, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017. He was born on May 30, 1972, to Bishop Archie Timmons Jr. and Dr. Laura Gatling-Timmons.

A native of Suffolk, Don attended Forest Glen High School and attended Brick Mason School. He was the owner of Timmons Lawn Service as well as being an independent brick mason. He was formerly employed at Ardio Construction Co., Snow King Jr. Construction Co. and Empire Scaffolding Services.

Minister Don received his salvation in 2006 and was installed as a minister at Greater V.C. Temple Holiness Church.

He was preceded in death by his son, Don C. Timmons Jr.

Don leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, LaFrancis Bonnette Timmons; both his parents; brothers, Archie Timmons III and James McKinley Timmons Sr. (Chiquita); sisters, Andrea Allen, Patricia A. Timmons and Gloria T. Whitaker; mother-in-law, Burnette Marie Delk; aunt, Lindell D. Copeland (Elder Michael), uncle, Ronald Lee Gatling Sr.; and a host of other family and friends.

Minister Timmons’ visitation will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A celebration of life service will take place at 1 p.m. Monday at New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries Church, and he will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
