NSA swimming places first and third

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy competed in a swim meet against Cape Henry and Greenbrier Christian Academy Friday afternoon. The girls’ team placed first out of the three teams, with the boys’ team placing third. This was the first meet for NSA in more than a month.

Madi Wilson placed first in the 50-meter freestyle. Tori Psimas placed first and Anna Grace Fowler placed second in 100-yard freestyle. Frances Hope and Madailen Reynolds placed first and second, respectively, in the 500-yard freestyle.

The 200 freestyle relay team placed first and consisted of Psimas, Towler, Wilson and Berkley Puzey. With a time of 1:55.43, they were able to make the state cut by two seconds — previously they were off by 0.4 seconds.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team also placed first. Psimas, Towler, Wilson and Hope were all a part of that team.

Boys:

Nic Psimas placed first in the 100-yard butterfly.
