Discount Tire has opened its first Suffolk location — the second Discount Tire store in the state — to meet demand for tires and wheels in the Hampton Roads metropolitan area.

The new store is located at 6204 College Drive, between Lake View and Hampton Roads parkways.

Since 2013, Discount Tire has expanded into nine new states, with Virginia the 32^nd state in the tire retailer’s increased footprint.

The company offers customers free tire pressure checks at its new Suffolk store and reminds Virginia area drivers of tire safety tips including the importance of properly inflated tires as the temperatures change.

Hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The business is closed on Sundays.

Discount Tire sells a wide selection of leading tire brands, including Michelin, Goodyear, Bridgestone, BFGoodrich, Pirelli, Falken, Continental and Cooper, along with exclusive brands such as Arizonian, Road Hugger, Pathfinder and MB Wheels.
