Lt. Col. Tenesia Gaston

Army Reserve Lt. Col. Tenesia Gaston has retired from the U.S. Army Reserve after serving honorably for 29 years. Gaston was last serving as personnel management officer with the Physical Evaluation Board, Joint Base San Antonio — Fort Sam Houston.

She served the U.S. Army and Army Reserve since 1987. She was commissioned through Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Ga., in 1988. She began her terminal leave Sept. 30 and will be officially retired Nov. 1.

Gaston is the daughter of James A. Gaston Jr. and Lillian W. Gaston, of Suffolk.

She is a 1982 graduate of Forest Glen High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in 1986 from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond.
