Diana Piland Schadel Baines

Diana Piland Schadel Baines, 73, passed away Aug. 26, 2016. She was born in Nansemond County, the daughter of the late Harry F. and H. Irene Piland Schadel. She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church.

Diana is survived by her husband of 49 years, Talmage Forrest Baines; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Baines Vaz (Cedric), Kathleen Baines Lamaker (Robbert); son, David Piland Baines; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred Schadel Stone (Roger); brother and sister-in-law, Calvin Beck Schadel (Joyce); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with the Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
