Back to school, with your help

Most private schools are already back in session, and public schools have open houses and first days just around the corner.
We encourage parents and students to be prepared for the upcoming year. This includes attending the scheduled open houses, getting the required school supplies for a successful year, keeping up to date with required vaccinations, coming prepared each day and staying on top of school work and homework.
For those who may be wondering how to get your child’s school supply list, most schools have them listed on their websites.
Parents, we ask that you help your children and guide them when they need you, as you are one of the main keys to their success.
With students going back to school, that also means our school news will soon be a big part of our paper again. However, we need the help of principals, teachers and staff to make it work well.
We ask that you please let us know when exciting events and projects are going to be taking place. We also ask that you send us updates of what’s going on in the classrooms, as well as photos.
This newspaper is a collaborative effort between each of you and ourselves, and we want it to be the best it can be.
We wish everyone a great school year, and we look forward to seeing sharing the innovative work Suffolk students and their teachers are doing.
