Suffolk Police are investigating an aggravated assault that reportedly occurred at the intersection of Causey Avenue and Ashley Avenue late Friday, according to a city press release. 

Emergency Dispatch was notified of the incident at 11:07 p.m., according to the release. 

The adult male victim was ground transported to an area hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening following medical assessment and treatment by Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel, according to the release.

The incident is under investigation. No additional information is available, according to the release.
