Patient First has announced that its Virginia medical centers are once again able to care for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield members.
The medical provider reached an agreement with Anthem and is now once again accepting new patients insured under all Anthem plans, company officials said in an email Thursday.
These plans include HealthKeepers, KeyCare, Medicare Advantage and others, as well as out-of-state BlueCross BlueShield plans. Also, Patient First will again accept Medicaid patients insured under Anthem HealthKeepers Plus.
Patient First had stopped accepting new Anthem patients on Feb. 2, citing the insurer’s “reduction in the reimbursement rates paid” to the provider.
