Lakeland High School’s men’s team finished second and its women’s team seventh in the Virginia High School League 3A East Regional track and field meet, held at Lakeland last Thursday.

The men’s team tallied 62 points against first-place Phoebus’ 99. The women finished with 24 points, with Tabb taking the top spot with a total of 136.33.

The Cavaliers’ men’s team earned first-place honors in the 4x100m relay (Darren Daughtry, Alajuwun Langston, Deondre Little and Alphonso Randolph) and the triple jump (Anthony Ruffin).
