A single-vehicle crash caused a power outage in the Whaleyville area early Thursday.
The crash was reported at 3:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Whaleyville Boulevard, according to a city press release. A Honda minivan left the roadway and struck an electrical pole, causing it to snap in half with downed power lines near the vehicle.
Rescue personnel had to extricate the adult female driver, who was the only occupant. She refused medical transport, according to the release.
About 205 residences were without power for part of the morning. In addition, Whaleyville Boulevard was completely shut down between Liberty Spring and Freeman Mill roads while a tow truck retrieved the vehicle.
