High school boys’ basketball in Suffolk was represented by two all-region second team selections for the 2015-16 season.

Nansemond River High School senior guard Josh Covington received the All-Region 5A South honor, while King’s Fork High School sophomore guard Rontre Pope received it in the 4A East Region.

This season, Covington averaged 20.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.9 steals per game for the 9-13 Warriors.

Helping the 13-12 Bulldogs advance as far as the regional quarterfinals, Pope averaged 11 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and two steals per game this season.
