Nine builders have committed to participate in the Peninsula Housing & Builders Association’s Parade of Homes, set for Founders Pointe in Carrollton in October.
The Builders’ Lot Draw was held recently at the Founders Pointe Residents’ Club, where contractors selected lots on the new lakefront cul-de-sac.
Participating builders include ABT Custom Homes, Birdsong Builders, Crocker & Foster Custom Homes, Edgerton Contracting, Garnett Construction, Hohmann Builders, Ore Builders, Sasser Construction and Saybrook Homes.
East West Partners, a Hampton Roads developer, started the luxury waterfront Founders Pointe community 10 years ago. Today, more than 200 families call it home.
Founders Pointe has twice been selected “Community of the Year” by Peninsula Housing & Builders Association and was the host of the Tidewater Builders Association Homearama in the spring of 2010.
The 325-acre community is East West Partners’ third community in Isle of Wight County, joining Gatling Pointe and Eagle Harbor.
East West also hosted two major home shows at its Harbour View community in Suffolk, The Riverfront.
“Because of the central location to both the Peninsula and to Southside Hampton Roads, our past home shows drew large crowds during the 16-day event,” said Branch Lawson, president of the Hampton Roads division for East West.
“We drew over 80,000 people to the 2001 and 2011 Homearamas in The Riverfront, and over 55,000 attended our Parade of Homes in Gatling Pointe South in 1993.”
“ We are thrilled to be bringing the Parade of Homes back to Isle of Wight County for our fourth home show,” said Leslie Martin, the PHBA chief executive officer.
“The new lakefront street that East West is developing is the perfect site for a parade. There’s a lot of enthusiasm and support for this site, and we think everyone will be impressed with the quality and value this parade will offer.”
Mark Edwards, senior vice-president/broker for East West Partners Realty said prices for the homes in the show will range from $450,000 to more than $750,000.
“Visitors will be able to see brand new home interior concepts and the latest in today’s new home trends,” he added.
Founders Pointe is located off of Route 17 on Sugar Hill road in Isle of Wight County.
