The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy golf team opened its 2016 season with a 181-172 loss to Trinity Episcopal School on Tuesday at the Salisbury Country Club.
Despite the loss, Thomas Meyers of the Saints was co-medalist with Trinity Episcopal’s Gabe Parker, as both generated nine-hole rounds of 37 on the par-36 course.
The next match for Nansemond-Suffolk (0-1) will be its home opener as it hosts Hampton Roads Academy on Thursday at the Elizabeth Manor Country Club.
