Fire extinguished on Christmas

Firefighters extinguished a blaze at a home in the 300 block of Cedar Street on Christmas night.
The fire was reported at 10:17 p.m., and the first units arrived at 10:23 p.m. Firefighters found smoke and flames showing from the exterior of the two-story residence, and the fire was called under control at 10:50 p.m.
There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The units that responded included Engines 1 and 2, Ladder 3, Rescue 1 and 6, Medic 1, Battalion 1, EMS-1 and the Fire Marshal.
