Three adults and two children were displaced in an overnight fire early Wednesday in Whaleyville.
No one was injured in the house fire in the 2500 block of Whaleyville Boulevard, city spokeswoman Diana Klink stated in a press release. The Suffolk Department of Fire and Rescue crews arrived at 1:30 a.m. to find smoke showing from the single-story ranch and that all occupants had evacuated.
Firefighters contained the blaze to one room and deemed its cause to have been electrical in nature, Klink said.
One firefighter was treated on scene for a minor injury, she said.
