Phyllis Seymour

Phyllis Seymour, 70, passed away on Monday, Sept. 21, 2015. She was born on Oct. 6, 1944, to Evangeline Mitchell and Dennis W. Valentine in Norfolk.

Phyllis was an active member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years. Over the years she held a position with G.E. as an assembly worker and later went on to help others as a home health nurse.

She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memory, her daughter, Kelly Dildy; brother, Warnett Barnes; sister, Amy Jones; granddaughter, Neglia Jackson; nieces, Nekeisha Bond (Kerry), Yolanda Harding Samora Harding and Micole Barnes; nephew, J’mal Jones (Jaime); great-nieces and -nephews, Alexis, Justin, Kristen, Mackenzie, Madison, Katelin, Khyleigh Bond, Kayden Barnes, A’dante Holliman, Tommy Thurber Jr. and a host of family and friends.

A Jehovah’s Witness Memorial Service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home Chapel.
